Administrative/Biographical history: Ty'n-rhos was a farm on the Gogerddan estate, in the township of Tirymynech in the parish of Llanfihangel Genau'r-glyn, co. Card. Richard James, otherwise Richard James Morgan (fl. 1786-1799) of Ty'n-rhos and Llechweddmor may have been the first of the James family of Ty'n-rhos to adopt a surname. He appears to have been succeeded by Thomas James, father (fl. 1800-c.1830) and son (fl. 1830-1848).


Scope and content/abstract: Family papers of the James family of Ty'n-rhos.
