Scope and content/abstract: A collection of mainly deeds and documents, acquired and brought together by Harold T. Elwes, relating to estates mainly in north Wales, particularly those of the families of Lloyd of Halghton, Phillips of Gwernheulod, Fletcher of Gwernheulod, and Wynne of Penhesgin, Anglesey.

Related material: Further papers relating to the Lloyd family of Halghton, 1647-1752, and the Philipps, Lloyd, Fletcher and Elwes families of Gwernheulod, 1664-1934, are National Library of Wales, Nerquis Hall. A pedigree roll, compiled in 1602, showing the descent of William Lloyd of Halghton, Flintshire, esq., and his wife Jane, with fifty-four coats-of-arms, is NLW MS 22998G.
