CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history: The English Cause was formally established at 6 Australia Terrace in 1902, although English services had previously been held at Garth Welsh Chapel since August of the same year. The first Sunday School was held a fortnight later. By the end of 1902 the landlord of the cottage refused to let the property for religious services which were subsequently held in the parlour of another private house, Brynmelyn. This remained the place of worship until Trevor Presbyterian Church opened in March 1904.

CONTENT

Scope and content/abstract: The fonds comprises a register of baptisms, 1922-1965, account book, 1956-1965, ministry collection book, 1938-1965, church minute book, 1902-1964, and transfer certificates of membership and letters of advice book, 1906-1955, of Trevor English Presbyterian Church, Llangollen.
