Name of creator(s): Elwyn Evans (b. 1912); Lyn Joshua (d. 1948); Rev. Dr Daniel Evans (1850-1929).


Administrative/Biographical history: Elwyn Evans (b. 1912) was a producer in the Welsh Region of the BBC from its early days and he is also a poet. Rev Dr. Daniel Evans (1850-1929), an independent minister and editor of Y Celt, was the grandfather of Elwyn Evans and the father of the poet 'Wil Ifan' (William Evans, 1883-1968). Lyn Joshua (d. 1948) was a radio actor, singer and scriptwriter, and the author of the song 'We'll keep a welcome in the hillsides'.


Scope and content/abstract: Letters to Elwyn Evans, 1930-1997 and undated, including letters from Lyn Joshua, 1937-1946 and undated; radio scripts and addresses, 1952-1963; an address, c. 1996; diaries of Rev Dr Daniel Evans, 1880-1923; and miscellanea, 1795-1927.
