Administrative/Biographical history: Hugh Williams (1843-1911) was Vice-Principal and Professor of Church History at the Theological College, Bala. He published Christianity in Early Britain (Oxford, 1912) and was editor and translator of the works of Gildas in the 'Cymmrodorion Record Series' (1899, 1901).
