The Brecon Beacons National Park Committee comprises locally and nationally appointed members. The committee is divided into a number of sub-committees, development control panels and working groups. Besides development control, the committee advises on work related to listed buildings, building design, conservation areas and future land use.

Archival history: The papers were accumulated by Dr C. Stephen Briggs, a committee member nominated by the Secretary of State for Wales.

Immediate source of acquisition: Donated by Dr C. Stephen Briggs of Llangwyrfon, Ceredigion, in 1992, 1993 and 1995.
