Administrative/Biographical history: Professor Eryl Hall Williams (b. 1921) was a conscientious objector during the Second World War while a law student at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He served as a civilian relief worker with the Friends Relief Service in England and Germany from 1943 until 1946.

CONTENT

Scope and content/abstract: Papers of Eryl Hall Williams, 1940-1998, relating mainly to his period of service with the Friends Relief Service in England and Germany (including Belsen) during and after the Second World War; together with reminiscences and transcripts of letters relating to his experiences as a conscientious objector while a student at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth from 1939 to 1942.
