CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history: The Rev. Huw Llewelyn Williams (1904-1979), Holyhead, Anglesey, was the Calvinistic Methodist minister of Valley and Rhoscolyn. As well as being a poet he was the author of many books including Thomas Williams, Gwalchmai (Caernarfon, 1961) and Thomas Charles Williams, Porthaethwy (Caernarfon, 1964) and edited the Anglesey Eisteddfod publication Awen Môn. He also collected papers of Rev. W. Llewelyn Lloyd (d. 1940), Methodist minister of Cemaes, 1930-1934.
