CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history: In 1972, the granting of authorisation to build a Shell deep-sea oil terminal offshore at Bull Bay and its associated 196 acre tank farm at Rhosgoch gave rise to considerable controversy on Anglesey. The Anglesey Defence Action Group (ADAG or ANDAG) was formed in early 1971 to oppose these developments.
