Administrative/Biographical history: Charles Duckworth (d. [2002]) was interested in the history of his home town of Buckley, Flintshire, and of North Wales in general. He collected records and wrote articles on the Wesleyan Methodist circuits that operated in Flintshire, Flintshire brick and coal industries, and the history of Buckley Young People's Cultural Association.


Scope and content/abstract: Records collected by Charles Duckworth, 1827-1982, including personal research papers, 1972-1981; Nonconformist, mainly Methodist records, relating to Mold, Ewloe, Bistre and Buckley, Flintshire, 1785-1975; records of Buckley Town Council, 1975; Buckley (Mold and District) Trades Council records, 1936-1966; Castle Fire Brick Co. Ltd. records, 1896-1926; brickworks records, 1816-[c. 1941]; coalmining records, 1869-[late 20th century]; records relating to Buckley Nonconformist Cemetery, 1928-1982; records relating to Hawkesbury Community Centre, 1944-1982; photographs, [c. 1890]-1946; and miscellaneous, 1806-1977.
