Name of creator(s): David Rogers Turner (1912-1971)


Administrative/Biographical history: David Rogers Turner (1912-1971) was a Christian activist. He was born into a military family which by 1921 was resident in Gumfreston, Tenby, Pembrokeshire. He attended boarding school in Devon and the Harper-Adams School of Husbandry. He spearheaded the Moral Re-Armament (MRA; an Evangelical Christian movement) campaign in Tenby, to which he devoted most of his life. He also worked with orphaned children in Berlin after the Second World War. He died on 2 September 1971, aged 59.


Scope and content/abstract: Diaries of David Turner, 1926-1971, relating mainly to the Moral Re-Armament campaign in Tenby and his own day-to-day activities.
