CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history: The Royal British Legion, known as the British Legion between 1921 and 1971, was founded as a voice for the ex-service community. It provides financial, social and emotional support to those who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants. The Legion is organised into local branches and districts/counties, including Pembrokeshire County.
