Administrative/Biographical history: William Bassett of Miskin (died 1770), sheriff of Glamorgan 1734, was succeeded by his daughter, Cecil Bassett, his son William having died in 1769. Cecil married Stephen White, a Bristol merchant. Their daughter, Ann White of Miskin married Francis Saunderson of Castle Saunderson, cos.Fermanagh and Cavan, Ireland.
Scope and content/abstract: Records of the Miskin estate, includes: rentals, 1756-1757, 1777-1778; a memorandum, and an account and copy letter book, 1774-1776.
