Administrative/Biographical history: The Baptist cause has been established at Bedwas, Glamorgan, since 1798, although their first chapel was erected between 1840 and 1844. An increased membership necessitated an enlargement of this building in the 1860s, and a new chapel was built 1876-1878. A vestry was added in 1907, and further substantial alterations, including a new baptistry, were made in 1911.
