Administrative/Biographical history: Rhos Welsh Baptist Chapel (Capel Bedyddwyr Cymraeg Aberpennar), Mountain Ash, Glamorgan wa sopened in 1861. A Baptist cause was established in Mountain Ash by the early 1800s and the first Welsh Baptist Chapel, Nazareth was opened in July 1841. Despite an enlargement in 1854 the congregation outgrew the building, and a new chapel opened at Rhos in Oct 1861, leaving Nazareth to the English Baptist cause.
