Administrative/Biographical history: The Cardiff Baptist Union was formed in about 1919 with the aim of promoting religion in the Cardiff area, Glamorgan, according to the tenets, principles and usages of the Baptist denomination. It also encouraged closer fellowship among members of the churches in the Union. The Cardiff Baptist Board was later established to attend to the financial needs of the Union. The Union merged with the Cardiff District of the East Glamorgan Baptist Association in 1969.
Scope and content/abstract: Records of the Cardiff Baptist Union, 1919-1970: minutes, 1919-1960; records pertaining to the Cardiff Development and Transportation Study, 1968-1971; annual reports, 1930-1935; correspondence, 1954-1968; and various programmes, [c. 1930]-1959.
