CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history: The solicitors firm of Stockwood of Bridgend, Glamorgan, was founded by Thomas Stockwood (1814-1895). He was joined in the business by his clerk, J. H. Williams, and the firms name was changed to Stockwood and Wiliams. The firm's clients included the Rev. Thomas Davies of Coity, the Lewis family, and the Phillip Price Trust and Price Davis family.
