Administrative/Biographical history: This weekly newpaper, issued on Fridays, was originally known as the Central Glamorgan Gazette and General, Commercial and Agricultural Advertiser, which ran from 1866-1894. In April 1894, the Central Glamorgan Gazette was amalgamated with the Bridgend and Neath Chronicle and was subsequently known as the Glamorgan Gazette. The newspaper is still in circulation.
