Administrative/Biographical history: John Kernick (c1795-1859) was a mines agent with interests in Cornwall and Wales. He had four sons, one of which, Samuel Penrose, married Elizabeth Cory in 1851. The Cardiff Land and House Investment Corporation Limited was founded by John and Richard Cory as a property development and leasing company.
Scope and content/abstract: Cardiff Land and House Investment Corporation Ltd deed lists, receipts and tenancy agreement, 1880-1891; financial and business papers, 1870-1913; and a history of the Kernick family, 1975.
