Administrative/Biographical history: The Findlay Memorial Trust was established, c. 1953, in memory of Joseph John Findlay, the first headmaster of the Cardiff High School for Boys. Its aim was to promote educational facilities in the school and to support an annual lecture. The memorial lectures which were given by prominent speakers ran from 1953-1970. They were discontinued in 1970, when the school merged with two other Cardiff secondary schools.
Scope and content/abstract: Copy of trust deed, 1956; declarations of acceptance to act as fund trustees, 1956-1969; annual meeting minutes, 1956-1970; balance sheets, 1957-1971; account book, 1956-1971; cash book, 1956-1971; and Findlay Memorial lectures, 1953-1970.
