Administrative/Biographical history: Cardiff Land and House Investment Corporation Ltd was founded in 1877 with the purpose of purchasing, leasing or re-developing property for a profit. Its first office was at 85 Bridge Street, Cardiff. The corporation was the developer of properties in Crockherbtown (Queen Street), and the first skating rink in Cardiff. In 1980, the property owned by the corporation was sold to Adamsdown Housing Association.
