Administrative/Biographical history: David Howells took possession of the tenancy of Cwm Barry Farm, Barry, Glamorgan, in c. 1890. Later, during the early twentieth century, the tenancy was taken over by his son, William Price Howells, who worked the farm until the 1940s.
