CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history: Eglwysbrewis is an ancient parish situated within the eastern division of the rural deanery of Groneath, in the diocese of Llandaff. It is a small parish which encompasses the village of Eglwysbrewis and a small portion of the rural area which surrounds it. The parish church is dedicated to St. Brewis, which was sometimes also referred to as St. Brice.
