Administrative/Biographical history: Bonvilston is an ancient parish within the rural deanery of Barry in the diocese of Llandaff. It is situated south of the town of Llantrisant, between the parishes of St. Nicholas to the east and Llantrithyd and Llancarfan to the west. Its parish church is dedicated to St. Mary.
