CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history: Coychurch is an ancient parish within the rural deanery of Lower Groneath in the diocese of Llandaff. It is situated north east of Bridgend in the hundred of Newgate and consists of the hamlets of Coychurch Higher and Lower. The parish church of St. Crallo, situated in Coychurch Lower was restored in 1888.
