Administrative/Biographical history: Owen Henry Jones (b. 1921) was a native of Caernarfon, Caernarfonshire. He attended the Boys' Council School, Caernarfon, and was a member of Capel Moriah Calvinistic Methodist Church. During the Second World War he served with the Army in India and Burma with the rank of Sergeant. He was subsequently employed in the Clerk's Department of Caernarfonshire County Council, in due course becoming Chief Clerk to the Council until its abolition in 1974.

Jones relating to Caernarfon, 1857-1977, including programmes, booklets and other ephemera relating to services and concerts at Capel Moriah, Caernarfon, 1857-1976, Caernarfonshire County Council events, 1932-1974, concerts and dramas, 1901-1967, sporting events, 1937-1948, education, 1938-1943, Royal visits, 1934-1963, and the Investiture of HRH the Prince of Wales, 1969; ephemera and personal papers relating to O. H. Jones' Army service, 1939-1952, and family papers, 1881-1967; and photographs relating to O. H. Jones and Caernarfon, 1894-1977, including school and Council group photographs.
