Administrative/Biographical history: Born in St. Asaph, Flintshire, 1857?, Thomas Rowland Roberts worked in Caernarfon as a clerk in a solicitors office, acting as a translator and short-hand secretary. In 1909 he started his own accountancy business in Colwyn Bay.
He was editor of the Genedl Gymreig for a short while and author of several books, including Barddoniaeth Edmwnd Prys, Archddiacon Meirionydd , (1899) and Eminent Welshmen a short biographical dictionary of Welshmen who have attained distinction from the earliest times to the present , (1908). He died in 1940.


Scope and content/abstract: Letters written to Thomas Rowland Roberts from various correspondents, 1901 - 1911, including Trebor Aled; Gabriel Hughes, Rhyl; Rev. John Owen, Cricieth, to name but a few. The subjects vary from the history of notables from Rhyl, to the burial places of various individuals.
