Administrative/Biographical history: The Rev. Morris Thomas served as minister for several Calvinistic Methodist churches, including Llawryglyn in Montgomeryshire and Corris and Dolwyddelan, Caernarfonshire. He was also a writer and philosopher.

The papers once owned by the Rev. Henry Hughes of Bryncir relate mostly to the history of the Calvinistic Methodists of the Llyn and Eifionydd district with notes and records regarding specific chapels. Also the notes of the Rev. Morris Thomas on the Rev. Henry Hughes.
