CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history: In the early 19th century the Peniarth estate, Llanegryn, Merionethshire, was owned by William Wynne (1774-1834). The estate owned lands in Merionethshire, Montgomeryshire and Caernarfonshire. Parts of the Montgomeryshire estates were sold in the 1820s.

CONTENT

Scope and content/abstract: Papers relating to the Peniarth estate, 1814-1827, comprising accounts of rents received from Merionethshire, Montgomeryshire and Caernarfonshire estates, 1814-1818; sale particulars and agreements relating to the sale of land in Darowen, Llanwrin and Cemmaes, Montgomeryshire, 1825-1827.
