CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history: The Dulas Valley Defence Association was formed to fight proposals by the Severn River Authority for a regulating reservoir. Lord Hooson, then Liberal MP for Montgomeryshire, and Tudor Watkins, Labour MP for Brecon and Radnor, lent their support. Lord Hooson lead the case for the Association at the enquiry. The instructing solicitor was Gareth Morgan of Millwyn Jenkins & Jenkins, who is now a County Councillor for Powys.
