His sons Joseph, a builder, James, a surveyor and John, a plumber, continued to play an important part in the growth of the town. Joseph was overseer for the parish of Cefnllys, a member of Llanbadarn Fawr School Board, also of the Urban District and County Councils. He was appointed a JP in 1906.
